Mount over Stepinac on Senior day.

Posted Monday, November 07, 2005 by Mike ODonnell

The Stepinac Seniors took the field Sunday for their last time vs a tough Mount St Michael opponent. After a morning of Mass & Breakfast with their parents the Seniors played hard vs a faster bigger opponent. The first half proved to be a tough one Mount getting ahead early & often. But the Crusaders came back to put 20 pts on board & show that they had not quit. At breakfast the team presented Sean Callahan with his very own #1 Stepinac jersey. Sean is Coach Callahan's son who is battling childrens cancer everyday. The team has dedicate it's season to Sean. Steve Meys again had a strong game at QB. Nick Venice had over 100 yds rushing. The crusaders will be playing in the playoffs this upcoming week.
We are very proud of our seniors for the classy way the always handle themselves on & off the field.
Congratulations to Varsity on making the AA top playoffs. We will open playoffs Sat night at St John's Univ. vs St Francis Prep [8-0]. Win & in !
