WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Former Archbishop Stepinac quarterback Naquis Mark White said he moved to upstate Trinity-Pawling Prep School this fall to improve his game and prepare academically for his college future.

White, who lives in White Plains, played his junior season at quarterback and defensive back for Stepinac last year and helped lead the Crusaders to the Catholic High School Football League AA championship game against St. Anthony's of Long Island. He is playing wide receiver and safety for Trinity.

"I'm receiving a lot of playing time here and I am surrounded by a wonderful coaching staff that has helped our team to a 4-1 record so far," said White, who has two touchdowns in the first five games. "Hopefully, with hard work we'll win a championship. I especially want to thank the Stepinac football coaching staff for everything I have become on and off the field."

Trinity-Pawling football competes in the prep schools Erickson Conference and fields approximately 80 young men in its football programs, 40 on varsity. The team is coached by David Coratti, who is in his 30th year coaching on the varsity level and has been the head varsity coach for 24 years.
