It was a St. Anthony’s championship like none other. The Friars spent the season battling injuries and leaning on their defense to pull out tight wins. The unit was again sensational when needed most.

“Our coaches, they scout all day every day,” senior safety Tim Stackpole said. “They are there until 12 o’clock at night. I told you. We know every single play they were going to run. Every single time, every play.”

He had an interception to help set up the Friars' first score and forced a fumble that was run back for a touchdown to lead top-seeded St. Anthony’s to a 14-0 win over No. 2 Archbishop Stepinac in the CHSFL Class AAA title game Friday night at Mitchel Field.
