Donnie Simmons gets 2nd Div 1 college Football offer

  • According to Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, N.Y.) coach Mike O'Donnell, Akron has made an offer to 2011 prospect, Donnie Simmons. The 6-foot-1, 222-pound defensive end was mentioned as the sleeper who emerged in the Penn State NFTC defensive review. Donnie has now been offered by Stracuse  University.
  • Busy few weeks at Stepinac with Coaches  from Many major colleges have been stopping by to  get film & transcripts & say hello. West Virginia, Rutgers, Maryland, Temple, U Conn, Syracuse, Akron, Delaware, Stony Brook& Albany State[ to name  a few] have  made  there way thru Stepinac on the recruiting trail.  Donnie Simmons & Tyrelll Goodman have been the focus of the  bigger schools. Jeff Clack, Brian Byrnes, Austin Taps  ,So , Caleb Gilligan Evans, So have been  talked  about with others. Donnie Simmons has been the first to be offered. Rob Ianello  last Thursday offered Donnie a Football scholarship to attend Akron University in Ohio.  It is an exciting  time at Stepinac Football. Congratulations to Donnie & his Family, his teachers , Coaches,  & guidance dept.  Tyrell  is also very high on some schools lists. Keep up the good work.
  • According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Centennial (Bakersfield, Calif.) linebacker Jared Norris has committed to play for Utah. He has been added to the 2011 Commitment List.Comments (0)
