If you’ve ever been fortunate enough to spend a few minutes with George BIG DADDY Kehayas, you’ve probably heard some bad jokes, some repeated stories, and maybe you’ve even been lucky enough to share this time while tearing through the Yonkers streets in a '76 Volare, white-knuckled with fear while bracing for impact!
Whether he has engaged you in an ill-advised "Battle of the Wits" or has mockingly expressed his "dislike" for you, chances are that while you were spending time with him, you had a huge smile on your face, if not balled over in near painful hysterics.
One thing is for sure, GJK has and continues to live his life based on the simplest of principles: unwavering and unconditional devotion to his family and his friends (even if some of those friends are hundreds of anonymous Stew Leonard's employees). He is the type of guy who can open a package of clean socks on Christmas with the glee other men reserve for electronics and sports cars.
A father of 10, grandfather to 3, and the patriarch of an even larger clan, Big Daddy was diagnosed with multiple gastroenterological malignancies in various organs in the Fall of 2009.
Now is our chance to give back some of those laughs, smiles and create some more memories while lending a helping hand to George and Liz as they embark on Big Daddy’s road to recovery.
