Posted Wednesday, August 26, 2009 by the pit reporter
Varsity & JV both hit the field early on Day 3 today. The weather actually cooperated with a nice cool breeze blowing helping to keep the players cool. Tomoorrow will be the first day in shoulder pads & helmets. Everyone has been waiting to strap on the pads & show what they can do. We have been talking each day about our words of the day. Yesterday we spoke of Anger management. A coupel of players spoke about how we need to control our anger or it could get us in trouble. Other players spoke about control anger when things don't go there way. It was a very positive discussion. Football being a very physical game it is important to use anger in the right way.
Todays word was RESPECT- We talked about how respect affect each & everyone of us. Respect for ourselves, our families, our coaches. our school & respect for each other.
Our Freshman showed up today with over 50 players which was a pleasant suprise. We expect more out the next few days. They put in a short day from 9-1 . Tomorrow they will have there 1st double session.
Please make sure all players report each day rehydrated. Our bodies need fuel to burn. Taking care of our bodies during camp can really make a difference help keep everyone safe each day.
