The Bishop Dubios Trophy stays on Mamaroneck ave

The Stepinac Crusaders opened the 2008 season in style last evening. Traveling to the beautiful SUNY Maritime field in Bronx for the season opener vs Cardinal Hayes. The Crusaders struck first on a Maurice Easterling 20 yrad run for a TD. Mo would  go on to score 3 TD's [he had 10 carries  for  80 yds] He also  caught 4 passes for 75 yards.
Joe Collins had a good night also . He was 12-18 for 187 yds & 1 TD. Blake Rzemieniewski scored a TD on a 25 yd run. He also  had 4 receptions  for  40 yards. Brian Boulhous caught a 4 yard TD pass from Joe Collins to finish out the scoring.
The Stepinac Defense  was at it again causing 5 turnovers.  The Crusaders will face arch rival Iona Prep this Sat evening at 7:00. The game  will be the Joe Riverso Memorial Night game. The Crusaders are riding a 10 games  win streak.   Sat night under the lights is the place to be next week.
