Posted Saturday, September 08, 2007 by Patsy Manganelli
The Crusaders open the season with a statement. Last year when they were freshmen they lost 22-6 to Xavier, and revenge was on their mind.
The Crusaders came out and and recovered the open kick off and went on to score. By half time the crusaders were down 7-6.
Second half was all Crusaders. They were able to control the line of scrimmage.
Quarterback Thomas Decker through 4 touchdowns and lead the offense to a 18 point second half. Wide reciever James Mullen had three touchdowns 2 in the air and one on the ground. John Lennon also had a touchdown in the air.
The crusaders line on both sides of the ball did well. Half back Randy Perez was the work horse for the offense opening up the passing game for Decker.
Great Defense was played throughout the game by the crusaders.

Next week the Crusaders travel to St. Peters and try to keep the winning way going . Come and Support your Crusaders !!!!!!!
