Crsuasders getting ready for Tigers on Thanksgiving

Posted Friday, November 18, 2005 by Mike ODonnell
The seniors are working hard this week in preparation for our annual clash with cross town rival White Plains. Getting over very tough loss in the semi finals last week to St Francis which the Crusaders took lead in last two minutes only to lose aheart breaker in last minute. St Francis game was a very physical game & getting the crusdaers healthy & back on the field has been a huge task. We have a group of freshman & JV players that have moved up to dress for Thanksgiving day. Some have been very impressive & could see action.
We would like to congratulate all our seniors on 4 great years. They gave so much to Stepinac football . Many of them will put on the pads for the last time. All of them will put on the Stepinac football uniform on & walk out the ramp for the last time next Thursday. It is always a very emotional moment for them & coaches. We know they will all go on & make us proud. They have made us very proud all season long in the way they ahve handled much adversity. They are always welcome back to Stepinac & will always have a friend here.
Five of our seniors have been chosen to the 1st Team All Chsfl team.
Chris Giardini, Nick Venice, Justin Kolman, Bobby McDonough & Paul Mohan. Congratulations to them & to all the Varsity team on their successful season.
